Wharfedale
Valdus 100 7:30pm
06/08/2003
OMG! Somebody running an auction
for Wharfedale Valdus 100's on trademe.co.nz
used the Valdus 100 review at MY WEBSITE
(v1 tho) !! So anyway, it prompted me
to update my review of them.
The
Valdus 100's are perhaps some of the
best value speakers I have ever come
across, and would whole-heartedly reccomend
them to anybody looking for good Hi-Fi
and Home Theatre speakers, whos slightly
struck for cash.
Read my second review here.

SpRoNKeY's
MP3 Player Project 3:25am
05/04/2003
Alright, here goes - SpRoNKeY's MP3
Player Project. It doesn't have a seperate
page of its own but it will sometime in
the future, after I actually make the
beast. At the moment im sourcing parts.
I've got my PC hardware (Celeron 400,
cheap IDE cdrom drive, small low-power
power supply). All I need now is to make
the case, controller keys and find a suitable
LCD or VFD for a decent price. I dont
particularly want to pay $200 to get CrysytalFontz
LCD imported for me. :P
Anyway, the player will run either a customised
version of Linux, or a highly automated
version of Windows NT4. I'm not 100% sure
as to which yet, perhaps NT4 so i don't
have to use Samba to use Networked MP3's.
I'm also looking for the Infra-red reciever
so I can control this baby via. shiny
remote :)
I'll post some more news on the project
later on.

Apollo
440 Album Review 11:29pm
06/02/2003
w00t, i've finally linked my review
of Apollo Four Fourty's "Electro
Glide In Blue" album. Find it on
the reviews page, here.
Apollo Four Fourty's album is by no means
new, but it's not too old. Here at SpRoNKeY's
Portal, the age doesn't matter. I'll review
anything :D I don't give a damn shizen
how old it is. If it exists, its reviewable.

A
new speaker pic every day? 7:26pm
23/10/2002
Hehe, well, we all know that i am
an audiophile. Now, take a look to your
right. Those are speakers. Not just any
speakers, I might add. For a pair of those,
you'll be paying over $50,000 NZ. Thats
absolutely insane, BUT, they are without
a doubt some of the most interesting and
uber speakers i've ever seen in my entire
life. They are the Bowers and Wilkons
Prestige Series Natalius Speakers, and
mygawd, they are beasts. The picture doesn't
do them justice at all - their power handling
is right up to 500Watts which makes them
some of the most powerful speakers on
the planet. They will also pump out around
5-15x the volume on your mini-system speakers
at home. Droolalicious, i say. ;D - imagine
Apollo Four Fourty on those beasts.. come
to think of it, 500Watts each is almost
one amplifier per speaker O_o - thats
MAD.

Music
is the world. The World is music. 8:41pm
22/10/2002
Music. Ya. It's what my life revolves
around :D - well, not really. It doesn't
really revolve around anything in particular..
if anything at all.. but thats not the
point! :D Well, if theres something that
i wish was associated with SpRoNKish Music,
it's THOSE >>> those *point*..
them.. Speakers in the logo to the side..
they.. they are Wharfedale Pacific Evolution
Series - 2nd to the top model.. Same power
rating tho, just a smaller cabinet - makes
them just a little cuter... :P But waow..
they have curved cabinets too.. for better
resonance.. and real wood venir.. i can't
spell that word :P.. and.. and .. wow..
they are SO COOL~!! If drooling over speakers
was possible, i think these (along with
a few of the high-end Prestige models
in B&W's Natalius line) would be the
most drool-worthy loudspeakers of all!
:D Anyway, welcome to SpRoNKeY's Portal
Music. I Trust you will enjoy your stay.
:) Btw, if anyones giving away a pair
of those wharfedales, or any old speakers,
i'm interested. As well as selling older
HiFi.. im interested in that too! :P
